In order to make full use of reading seat resources, protect readers' rights of fair utilization, and avoid occupying seats, the library implements reservation management for reading seats.

Article 1 Reservation Management Rules

1.Reading seats in the library are only for the use of teachers and students of the university, and they can only be used by reservation.

2. Except for sofas and chairs for relaxation, all reading and study seats must be reserved before they can be used.

3.Reservation for next day’s seatsstarts at 22:45 every day.You can reserve a seat for the same day from 00:00 to the closing time.You can't reserve a seat for 30 minutes before the closing time.After the successful reservation, if you can't go there due to any reason, you can cancel the reservation through the seat management system of the network within 20 minutes before the reservation comes into effect.

4.The next reservation cannot be made before the reservation takes effect;it can only be made after the reservation is finished.

5.If you need to end your reservation early, please end the use of your seat according to the regulations.

6.Rooms 111 and 116 on the first floor are rooms for students who prepare graduate entrance examination, open only to juniors and seniors. Eligible readers can make one or more reservations per week, and each time they can choose one seat. The reservation can be made up to 21:00 on that Sunday evening at the latest.

7. In order to meet the study needs of teachers orstudents who are temporarily came to the library, 103 comprehensive study room on the first floor is reserved as a study room with on-site reservation of seats only.

Article 2 Reservation Guidelines

1.Methods for Seats Reservation

(1) Network Reservation

  1) Under on-campus IP, enter the official WeChat public number of Shenzhen Technology University Library, click "My Library - Reservation Service" to enter the reservation inter face, and the account password is the unified authentication account password of the university.

  2) Under the IP of the university, enter the URL:http://10.11.220.236into the reservation system, and the account password is the unified authentication account password of the university.

(2) On-site Seat Selector Reservation:On-site seat selection by swiping the card at the touch-screen seat selection terminal in the library(after successful seat selection, you will be automatically signed in and do not need to sign in again).

(3) On-site scanning code reservation:Scanning the QR code on the desktop of the seat reservation by Wechat.

2. Seat reservation check-in

(1) Sign-in mode:

  1) Use Wechat to scan the QR code on the desktop of the seat;

  2) Sign in by swiping the card at the on-site seat selection machine.

(2) Check-in time:Check-in must be completed within 20 minutes after the reservation takes effect.

3. Leaving Seat Operation

(1)Temporary departure

  1) Swipe your card at the on-site seat selector and select "Temporary Leaving Seat" or scan the QR code of the seat and select "Temporary Leaving Seat", the seat will be reserved for 30 minutes;seats will be reserved for 60 minutes during meal times (11:00-13:00, 16:30-18:30).

  2) If you return within the temporary departure time, you have to activate the return seat by scanning the QR code of the desktop seat or swiping the card at the on-site seat selection machine, and the system will automatically restore your original seat.

(2) End of use

  1) Scanning the QR code on the desktop by WeChat will end the use of the seat, and the system will automatically release the seat.

  2) The system will automatically release the seat when you end the use of the system by "logging into the system through the web browser".

  3) The system automatically releases the seat when the card is swiped at the seat selector.

Article 3 ViolationsHandling

1. If a reader fails to sign in on time or cancel his/her reservation, he/she will be recorded as violating the law once.100 points will be deducted from his/her points and his/her chosen seat will be automatically released for other readers to choose.

2. After temporarily leaving the operation, if you do not return on time, the seat will be automatically released after the timeout period.1 violation will be recorded, with 100 points deducted.

3. Readers who illegally occupy other people's seats and do not voluntarily give up their seats will have 300 points deducted.

4. The total points are 500, which are interchangeable withreservationpoints for seminar rooms. After the points are alldeducted, the reader will not be able to use the reservation system for 7 days; after the penalty period, the record of violation will be cleared and 500 points will be restored.

5. Readers can check the violation records through the seat reservation management system.

Article 4 Cautions

1.Readers should leave in time after using the reserved seats to facilitate the subsequent use of the seats.

2.Readers should take good care of their personal belongings and bring them with them when they leave. In case of loss, they are responsible for their own.

3.To avoid long queuing time for on-site seat selection during peak hours, readers are advised to give priority to making reservation in advance through the online terminal.

4.Readers who have successfully made reservations are given priority to have the right to use the corresponding seats. Readers who have not selected seats or whose selected seats are invalid shall give way to readers who have the right to use the seats.
