I. For new students

The borrowing privileges for new students are not available. Please read the "Admission Guide" carefully and pass the entry test to activate your borrowing privileges.



Entry Test

Each new student has a maximum of 5 chances to answer the questions and passes the test with a score of 90. With the screenshot of the answer score, go to C2-Library 2F Reception Desk with your campus card to open the borrowing privileges.

II. Borrowing Privileges

Undergraduate students can borrow up to 15 books each, and master and doctoral students and faculty members can borrow up to 30 books each. The loan period of each book is 60 days, with an option to renew once via the library's official WeChat or website within 15 days before the due date, extending the loan by an additional 30 days.

During winter and summer vacations, the library will extend the borrowing time for books due during the holidays until after school starts.

Readers must return the borrowed literature before the due date. Late return fee of RMB 0.1/volume per day will be charged for late return, up to a maximum of 20 yuan per book. The borrowing privileges will be suspended until fines are paid. If the overdue period exceeding 200 days, a 3-hour library volunteer service must also be completed before borrowing privileges can be reinstated.

For lost or damaged books, the "Shenzhen Technology University Library Collection Document Return, Damage, Loss Handling Procedures" will be enforced.

III. Borrowing Process

Self-service borrowing and returning machines are available on floors 2-6 of the library. After finding the books, please follow the prompts on the machine to borrow or return using your campus card.

All books in the library are equipped with RFID chips, allowing multiple books to be recognized at once during borrowing and returning. Please confirm the status of all books after borrowing or returning to avoid inconvenience caused by omission of borrowing.

Books stored in the "C-2 Library Compact Stack room" are not available for open-shelf service.If you wish to borrow such books, you may place a "request" on the web page detailing the book or submit a request at the library's second-floor reception desk. You will be notified when the book is available for pick-up after it has been allocated.

IV. Notes

Library books are public property. Please take care of books when borrowing, reading, or using them, and do not deface them with writing, tearing, staining and other uncivilized behavior.

If you lose or damage library materials, compensation will be required according to the library's regulations, based on the extent of damage to the book. If you have any questions, please contact the second-floor reception desk of the library at 0755-23256130.
